This 5-day Junipter Networks JNCIS-ER BootCamp prepares students for the JNO-350 Certified Internet Specialist ER-Series exam, and JNCIS-ER certification.

The JNCIS-ER Certification BootCamp is an advanced course which prepares students for the Juniper Networks Certified Internet Specialist Enterprise-Series Router exam that is available at Prometric testing sites.

This 5-day, lab-intensive, hands-on Junipter Networks JNCIS-ER BootCamp introduces Juniper Networks Enterprise Routing platforms including both M-series and J-series models. It focuses on router configuration using both the J-Web graphical user interface (GUI) and the JUNOS software command-line interface (CLI). Case studies and lab guiudes are provided for fundamental router configuration and for RIP, static, and OSPF routing. The class also provides an overview of common services such as the Virtual Router Redundancy Protocol (VRRP), the Multilink Point-to-Point Protocol (MLPPP) and Network Address Translation (NAT).

The JNCIS-ER BootCamp then provides an advanced look at routing and services configurations on Juniper Networks J-series and M-series platforms commonly used in the enterprise environment. Course highlights include:

  • Routing policy and firewall filters
  • Complexities of BGP configuration most relevant to enterprises migration from a distance-vector routing protocol to a link-state routing protocol, including strategies for successful migrations with limited to no downtime
  • Configuration and monitoring of Layer 2 services, including the Compressed Real-Time Transport Protocol (CRTP). Multilink PPP (MLPPP), and Multilink Frame Relay (MLFR)
  • Configuration of stateful firewall filters, NAT, and IPSec VPNs, including interoperability with other vendors
  • Options for branch-office connectivity, including provider-provisioned Layer 2 and Layer 3 VPNs, private circuits, and IPSec VPNS Class of Service (CoS) deployment in the enterprise environment and the interaction of CoS with other configurations on the router
