This 3-day JUNOS for Security Platforms (E-JSEC) course prepares students for the JNO-331 exam and JNCIS-SEC Certification.
This E-JSEC course is available via DWWTC E-Learning Services, providing LIVE instructor-led delivery via the internet. Students require high speed internet access and phone access during the class that runs 8 hours each day.
This Juniper Networks E-JSEC LIVE E-Learning course provides students with the skills for configuration, operation, and implementation of JUNOS security platforms in a typical network environment based on JUNOS Software version 9.5R1.8. Through demonstrations and hands-on labs, students will gain experience in configuring and monitoring JUNOS Software for JUNOS security platforms.
After successfully completing this E-JSEC course, students will be able to describe, configure, and monitor zones, security policies and firewall user authentication, and configure and monitor IDP policy with policy templates. Specific topics include:
- Provide an overview of the JUNOS security platforms and software architecture
- Describe the logical packet flow and session creation performed by JUNOS security platforms
- Describe, configure, and monitor zones

- Describe various types of network attacks

- Explain the purpose and mechanics of IPsec VPNs
- Implement and monitor policy-based and route-based IPsec VPNs
- Utilize and update the IDP signature database on JUNOS security platforms
- Configure and monitor IDP policy with policy templates
- Describe, configure, and monitor high availability chassis clusters.
